           Sundays at 4:00PM

Book by Eric Rockwell

Music by Eric Rockwell

Lyrics by Joanne Bogart

Directed by Michael Coleman

Musical Direction Chris Slegal

Musical of Musicals (The Musical) is a musical about musicals! In this hilarious satire of musical theatre , one story becomes five delightful musicals, each written in the distinctive style of a different master of the form, from Rodgers and Hammerstein to Stephen Sondheim. The basic plot: June is an ingenue who can't pay the rent and is threatened by her evil landlord. Will the handsome leading man come to the rescue? The variations are: a Rogers and Hammerstein version, set in Kansas in August, complete with a dream ballet; a Sondheim version, featuring the landlord as a tortured artistic genius who slashes the throats of his tenants in revenge for not appreciating his work; a Jerry Herman version as a splashy star vehicle; an Andrew Loyde Webber version, a rock musical with themes borrowed from Puccini; and a Kander and Ebb version, set in a speakeasy in Chicago. Talk about a time-proven audience-pleaser!

It's GREAT FUN!" - The New York Times

"Hilarious! It'll keep you laughing from start to finish." - The Daily News

Sundays at 7:00PM

Music by Tom Lehrer

Lyrics by Tom Lehrer

Musical Arrangements by Robert Fisher

Adapted by Cameron Mackintosh and Robin Ray

Musicaal Arrangements by Chris Walker

In concerts, television appearances and a series of now-classic recordings, the Harvard-educated math professor delighted millions of fans during the 1950's and 60"s with his dry, cynical but good-humored attacks on the A-Bomb, racism, pollution, pornography, the military, the boy scouts and, of course, mathematics.

Nothing is sacred in this revue featuring such Lehrer favorites as "Poisoning Pigeons in the Park", "The Vatican Rag", an unforgettable Gilbert abd sullivan-esque recitation of the table of elements, linked together with his own inimitable concert patter.

Rediscover the man and songs that have delightyed and skewered the world for over forty years in TOMFOOLERY

In this hilarious comedy by the author of Lend Me A Tenor and Moon Over Buffalo, two English shakespearean actors, Jack and Leo, find themselves so down on their luck that they are performing "Scenes from Shakespeare" on the Moose Lodge circuit in the Amish country of Pennsylvania. When they hear that an old lady in York, PA is about to die and leave her fortune to her two long lost English nephews, they resolve to pass themselves off as beloved relatives and get the cash. The trouble is, when they get to York, they find out that the relatives aren't nephews, but nieces! Romantic entanglements abound, especially when Leo falls head-over-petticoat in love with the old lady's vivacious niece, Meg, who's engaged to the local minister. Meg knows that there's a wide world out there, but it's not until she meets "Maxine and Stephanie" that she finally gets a taste of it.

Our Town

(

              (July 13l- August 5)

    Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00PM

            Sundays at 4:00PM

Written by Thornton Wilder

Directed by Allen Schmeltz

Described by Edward Albee as "...the greatest American play ever written," the story follows the small town of Grover's Corners through three acts: "Daily Life," "Love and Marriage, and "Death and Eternity." Narrated by a stage manager and performed with minimal props and sets, audiences follow the Webb and Gibbs families as their children fall in love Marry, and eventually --in one of the most famous scenes in American theatre--die. Thornton Wilder's final word on how he wanted his play performed is an invaluable addition to the American stage and to the libraries of theatre lovers internationally.

"While all of Wilder's work is intelligent; non-synthetic, and often moving, as well as funny, it is Our Town that makes the diffference. It is probably the finest play ever written by an American" -Edward Albee

"Thornton Wilder's masterpiece...An immortal tale of small town morality (and)...aclassic of soft spoken theatre." -The New Yorker

The Producers

           (August 10 - September 9)

      Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00PM

                Sundays at 4:00PM

Book by Mel Brooks and Thomas Meehan

Music by Mel Brooks

Lyrics by Mel Brooks

Directed by Connie Mockenhaupt

The Producers sets the the standard for modern, outrageous, in-your-face humor. It is a truly "boffo" hit, winning a record twelve Tony Awards and wowing capacity crouds night after night.

The plot is simple: a down-on-his luck Broadway producer and his mild-mannered accountant come up with a scheme to produce the most notorious flop in history thereby bilking their backers (all "little old ladies") out of millions of dollars. Only one thing goes awry, the show is a smash hit! The antics of Max Bialystock and Leo Bloom as they maneuver their way fecklessly through finding a show (the gloriously offensive "Springtime For Hitler"), hiring a director, raising the money and finally going to prison for their misdeeds is a lesson in broad comic construction. At the core of the insanely funny adventure is a poignant emotional journey of two very different men who become friends. The Producers skewers Broadway traditions and takes no prisoners as it proudly proclaims itself an "equil opportunity offender!"

Others are a spinster with a curious background, an architect who seems better equipped to be a chef, a retired Army major, a strange little man who claims his car has overturned in a drift, and a jurist who makes life miserable for everyone. Into their midst comes a policeman, traveling on skis. He no sooner arrives, than the jurist is killed. Two down, and one to go. To get to the rationale of the murderers pattern the policeman probes the background of everyone present, and rattles a lot of skeletons. Another famous Agatha Christie switch finish! Chalk up another superb intrigue for the foremost mystery writer of her time.
